So for those who know me, they know that I LOVE party planning, especially with themes. My sister read something about this being a common characteristic for "white" people, along with Googling everything. (My Google obsession can be discussed for another time and story...I've proved many wrong with this glorious feature lol). Every time I get ready for the next "event", my husband brings this up, (he is black) and laughs. Whatever, my parties are always fun!!!! Chandler was turning 2 on her last birthday and she was going through a Rapunzel stage. So we decided to sweeten things up and have a small princess party.
I decided to do a sweet table and just sugar all the kids up! Then on the other table, we had other things like fruit, cheese, chips, tiara finger sandwiches, etc. The cake we had made turned out to be awesome. It was just beautiful and tasted great. We rented some small tables and chairs so that the little prince and princesses could eat together. My lovely seester helped me decorate! The goodie bags were done by age and the boys had purple with the sunburst and the girls pink with Rapunzel's tiara. I hand made a lot of this stuff and it took forever, but worth it. Each girl got a Rapunzel braid and each child received a frame, along with a picture of them and Rapunzel, which we printed out at the end of the party!
We had Rapunzel show up and the girls loved it! They all got to have their nails done, face painted and made up, and also got to watch her tie balloons. I've always had to plan a party for a boy and well, not that they aren't fun, (actually I'm very tomboyish so I love more boy stuff), but this was my first attempt at anything girlie. I loved it surprisingly and can't wait for more in the future.
Below are a few pictures of the party.
Even some of the boys and adults got in on the fun. I made a Flynn Ryder Wanted Poster and we all took turns taking pictures.
Birthday Girl! She was very happy with her special day :) And that makes this princess party a huge success to me! Hope you enjoyed this! Now for the next themed event.....
